Fatal Crash in Lorain County: Woman Dies, Man Hospitalized
In Penfield Township, Ohio on Saturday morning, a tragic accident involving two vehicles resulted in the death of a woman and serious injuries to a man, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at Foster Road, prompting troopers and emergency responders to the scene at 6:40 a.m. The male driver of a Chevrolet Silverado truck, aged 59, sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. Sadly, the driver of a Honda HR-V, identified as Wendy Kobyluck, 56, from Orville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Despite wearing a seatbelt, she could not survive the collision with the truck, which allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign, according to the initial investigation. Authorities are continuing their inquiry into the incident.
