Fatal crash in Iowa caused by icy roads
A woman from Iowa passed away after being injured in a crash on Monday. The 45-year-old driver lost control of her 2005 Ford Escape on an icy curve on Iowa Highway 85 in Poweshiek County. Unfortunately, she did not survive the multiple flips of her vehicle. This marks the first fatal accident on Iowa roads in 2026. Last year saw the lowest number of deaths on Iowa roadways in a century, with only 260 fatalities.
