Fatal crash in Hyde Park leaves one dead, one injured
A tragic car crash occurred in Hyde Park on December 14, resulting in a fatality. The incident occurred on State Route 9 near Huyler Drive when a Ford F-150 pickup truck veered over the double yellow center line around 4:15 p.m., colliding head-on with a southbound Honda Accord. Unfortunately, the 28-year-old driver of the Honda, a resident of Hyde Park, lost his life in the accident. The 46-year-old driver of the truck, from Kingston, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Medical Center. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles. Hyde Park Police are leading the investigation with support from New York State Police.
