Fatal crash in Hardeman County claims lives of three
HARDEMAN COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — Three people were killed in Hardeman County in an early morning crash on Sunday, July 5, 2026. According to Lieutenant Johnny Bures with the Texas Department of Public Safety, a preliminary investigation revealed that around 12:45 a.m., a 2016 Hyundai Sonata was traveling east on US Hwy 287. A 2023 Kenworth truck-tractor towing a semi-trailer was traveling west on 287 when the Sonata failed to stay in its lane and crossed into the path of the semi, according to the preliminary investigation. Both vehicles collided in the westbound lane of US 287. The driver and the two passengers of the Sonata died on the scene. According to Bures, the driver was identified as 27-year-old Eduyn Yohande Torrealba Evias of Denver, Colorado. The passengers were identified as 33-year-old Yusney Alexeya Mora Mora and a 4-year-old child, both of whom were also from Denver. The driver of the semi was not injured during the crash.
