This newsletter has been updated to provide the latest details. A fatal accident occurred in Gallia County, Ohio, with one person losing their life and two others being hospitalized. The crash took place on Friday at the intersection of Addison Pike and State Route 7. Initially reported as a three-vehicle incident, authorities have now confirmed a fourth vehicle was involved as well. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Dodge Ram traveling south on Route 7 veered across the center line, colliding with a northbound Dodge Ram. The aftermath saw the southbound vehicle striking a sign and a wooden fence before the northbound vehicle hit a guardrail off the road. The other two vehicles were hit by debris and also went off the road. The deceased driver, identified as Dennis Allen, 75, from Ravenna, Ohio, was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. A passenger in Allen's vehicle was taken to Holzer's emergency room, while the northbound driver was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center. The roadway was closed for about four hours following the accident, with multiple agencies responding to the scene.
