Fatal crash in Calumet Heights claims driver's life
A fatal crash occurred on Stony Island Avenue in Chicago's Calumet Heights neighborhood on Wednesday morning. The incident involved a black Cadillac and a blue Mini Cooper at the intersection near 92nd Street. The collision resulted in the Mini Cooper crashing into a nearby building, specifically Stony Island Automotive. Tragically, the 50-year-old driver of the Mini Cooper was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center. The 47-year-old driver of the Cadillac was hospitalized in good condition. Fortunately, there were no additional injuries reported, and the police's Major Accident Investigation Unit was looking into the incident.
