Fatal crash closes Shackelford Road in St. Louis County
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A fatal crash has shut down a stretch of Shackelford Road in north St. Louis County as police investigate the incident. The St. Louis County Police Department reported the crash Friday near the intersection of Shackelford Road and Kilmory Drive in the department’s North County Precinct. According to police, officers responded to a call at about 2:20 p.m. for a crash near the intersection. Investigators said a motorcycle and a car were involved in the crash. The driver of the motorcycle, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released. Police said the driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Shackelford Road is closed in both directions between Kilmory Estates and Charleston Estates while emergency personnel and accident reconstruction crews work at the scene.
