Fatal crash claims woman's life; child flown to hospital, coroner reports

The identity of a woman who tragically passed away in a car accident in Anderson County, South Carolina on Wednesday night has been disclosed by the coroner. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Blue Ridge Avenue near Herman Brooks Road in Belton. Reports indicate that Brittany Diane Dooley, aged 33, was driving when she lost control of her vehicle, veered off the road, and collided with a tree. The coroner stated that Dooley's cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries, deemed accidental. It was noted that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Additionally, a child who was also in the car was flown to a hospital in Greenville for treatment.
