Fatal crash claims life of bicyclist in Webster County
WEBSTER COUNTY, Mo. — Troopers have reported a bicyclist has died after a vehicle crash in Webster County on early Sunday, April 26. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, a 25-year-old Seymour man died after a crash with a vehicle around 3:42 a.m. on U.S. 60 in Diggins on Sunday. MSHP says the incident occurred as a 59-year-old Ava man was driving a 2020 Ford Explorer west when he struck the bicyclist while traveling in a lane. A paramedic pronounced the 25-year-old dead around 3:56 a.m. The next of kin has been notified, officials state. Law enforcement did not report any injuries to the Ava man during the event. This is the 40th fatality for 2026 for Troop D.
