Fatal collision on Highway 121 in Richland Hills, results in one death and one injury, authorities report
Early Sunday morning, there was a fatal wrong-way crash on State Highway 121 in Richland Hills, where one driver died and another was injured, according to Richland Hills police. The incident occurred when a driver was reported to be traveling in the wrong direction on 121. A collision between two vehicles in the 6900 block of 121 resulted in one vehicle catching fire. Unfortunately, the driver in that vehicle, who was the sole occupant, was found deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It is suspected that intoxication contributed to the crash, and investigations are ongoing. The deceased driver's identity will be released after notifying their next of kin. Richland Hills police stated that criminal charges are not expected as the suspect driver has passed away.
