Fatal collision in fiery wreck in NW Houston
Early Sunday morning, a tragic accident occurred on the Northwest Freeway service road when a speeding vehicle crashed into a barricade and caught fire, resulting in the loss of two lives. The incident, which took place at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 11900 block of the feeder road, was reported by Sergeant Dallas of the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division. Investigators noted that the vehicle was traveling at a high speed, failed to stay in its lane, and collided with the protective barricade before erupting in flames. The Houston Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed the fatalities of the two individuals inside the burnt vehicle. Due to the intense fire, authorities were unable to promptly identify the victims or provide additional information. The Houston Police Department's Vehicular Crimes Division has initiated an investigation into the tragic incident.
