Fatal collision claims man's life: Surprise Police
There was a fatal crash reported by Surprise Police in the early morning of Dec. 1 in the vicinity of 211th Avenue and Sun Valley Parkway. Police responded to the scene after receiving an automated crash notification from an iPhone. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle that had veered off the road, but no occupants were inside. A deceased adult male was found nearby after a search of the area. Speeding and not wearing a seatbelt are believed to have been factors in the crash. The person who passed away has not yet been publicly identified. Police have received multiple iPhone crash notifications and will now attempt to contact the owner before dispatching an officer for a check if needed. The road has been reopened, and an investigation is ongoing.
