Fatal Allentown crash claims life of 82-year-old
An 82-year-old man tragically passed away after being hit by a vehicle in Buffalo's Allentown neighborhood on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at Elmwood Ave. The pedestrian was rushed to Erie County Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries the following morning. Reports indicate that the driver involved is an off-duty peace officer for the Erie County Sheriff's Office who was operating their personal vehicle during the incident and is fully cooperating with the investigation. The New York State Attorney General’s office has been informed in accordance with state regulations.
