Fatal accident on US-131 in Wyoming
A fatal crash was reported by Michigan State Police on Thursday night on southbound US-131, where a 30-year-old man from Wyoming lost control of his Chevrolet Equinox near the 28th Street exit in Wyoming. The vehicle veered off the road, struck a utility pole after traversing a snow-covered area, and the driver died at the scene. According to the MSP, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and eyewitnesses reported the Chevrolet was traveling at a high speed. Authorities suspect alcohol may have been involved. MSP Detective/Lt. Mike Shaw emphasized the dangers of impaired and risky driving, especially as the holiday season approaches. The incident serves as a tragic reminder of the consequences that can result from such behaviors.
