A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday evening when a fatal collision took place on Route 40 in Fayette County. The county coroner, Dr. Bob Baker, responded to the scene just outside Hopwood after receiving a report of a two-vehicle crash shortly before 7 p.m. Michael Duritsky Jr., aged 28 and from Addison, Pennsylvania, was driving one of the vehicles and was sadly pronounced dead at the crash site. The other driver involved did not sustain any injuries. Dr. Baker requested prayers for Michael's family and friends as they mourn his loss. The West Virginia Motor Speedway also expressed deep sorrow over Duritsky's passing, highlighting his skills as a racer and his positive presence in the pit area. The circumstances leading to the crash are currently unknown.
