Fatal accident at Hermosa and Edison roads blamed on fog: CHP

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision that occurred at the intersection of Hermosa and South Edison roads in Bakersfield, California on Monday morning. The incident involved a semi-truck and a Toyota pick-up truck. According to CHP's Traffic Incident Information Page, the crash happened around 6:40 a.m. when the semi-truck, traveling south on South Edison Road, was hit by the pick-up truck traveling west on Hermosa Road. The collision was attributed to foggy conditions and both vehicles allegedly disregarding a stop sign. Fortunately, the driver of the semi-truck escaped unharmed.
