Watch the video above for previous coverage. ASHTABULA, Ohio (WJW) -- A local restaurant that was forced to close in April following a deadly car crash into the building is reopening Thursday for a soft opening. The Crow's Nest Restaurant in Ashtabula has been undergoing major construction for weeks after a man drove off of State Route 11, crashed and was killed. Photos previously shared by the restaurant showed extensive damage around the building, including fire damage from the crash, which did not injure anyone else. "We are so excited to welcome everyone back and can’t wait to see all of our customers again," the restaurant wrote on Facebook Thursday. "As we get back into the groove, we kindly ask for a little grace and patience from our team." Restaurant ownership thanked everyone for their continued support. An official grand reopening party is taking place Saturday, June 13.
