Emergency responders extricate man from car at crash site on U. S. Route 150
Emergency responders are at the scene of a crash that happened shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday about halfway between Coal Valley and Orion on U. S. Route 150, which was completely blocked at 7 p.m. Our Quad Cities News crew saw a car and a pickup truck, which may have been pulling a trailer, at the scene. The rear axle of the pickup truck was torn off and the truck was perched on top of it. The Rock Island County Sheriff''s Office, Coal Valley Fire Department, and ambulance crews are on the scene along with crews from Coyne Center Fire Department and Blackhawk Fire Protection District. One man was extricated from the car and transported from the scene in an ambulance. At 7 p.m., a string of cars coming south from Orion was backed up on the highway.
