A traffic crash resulted in backups on I-40 in Greensboro on Wednesday afternoon. The crash was on I-40 at Sandy Ridge Road, impacting all lanes on I-40 west at NC 68, and the ramp from I-40 westbound to NC 68 was closed due to the crash. The crash appeared to involve a power truck, and heavy smoke was seen coming from the crash site.
