Eastbound I-440 lanes reopen after crash near Lake Boone Trail in Raleigh, NCDOT says
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Travelers headed eastbound on Interstate 440 may have run into some traffic issues as crews worked to clear a crash. According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation's real-time traffic map, the crash happened just after 5 p.m. along I-440 near exit 5, which is Lake Boone Trail. The two right lanes of I-440 eastbound were closed. A camera near the crash showed a crew around a car that looks to have been burned, with a fire truck and tow truck occupying the two right lanes behind the crash. The NCDOT now says the crash has been cleared.
