E-bike rider seriously injured in West Ridge Road crash in Rochester
Rochester, N.Y. — An e-bike rider has life-threatening injuries after a crash on the city’s northwest side Saturday night. Rochester police officers responded to West Ridge Road near Mount Read Boulevard around 8:50 p.m. for a report of a hit-and-run crash. Officers determined that two people on an e-bike were stationary on the median on West Ridge Road when a car traveling westbound on West Ridge Road struck one of the riders, according to the Rochester Police Department. The car had fled the scene. The rider who was struck was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for serious injuries. The other rider was not injured. No suspects are in custody, according to police. _______
