E-bike crash sends child to Harborview with serious injuries
A child riding an electric bicycle was seriously injured in a collision with a car Saturday in the Totem Lake area, according to police. The child was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries, police said. Authorities did not immediately release additional details about the circumstances of the collision. The crash prompted several road closures in the area. Both westbound lanes and turn lanes on Northeast 124th Street were closed, along with one eastbound lane, while officers conduct an investigation, police said. The roads have since reopened to motorists.
