Drunk driver accused of causing fatal crash arrested: 'Serious error'
Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon on I-75 in Sarasota. A man has been charged with DUI manslaughter in connection to the incident, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The sedan struck the Nissan, causing the SUV to run off the road and collide with a tree. Troopers criticized Donaldson's actions, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation due to his high blood alcohol level, which was double the legal limit. Donaldson, 41, from Ohio, was arrested at the scene and is currently held without bond until his pre-trial detention hearing on December 19th, as noted by Trooper Watson.
