Driver travels on wrong side of Indian Head Highway; police investigate deadly crash

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- At least one person is dead after a two-vehicle collision on Friday morning on Indian Head Highway, police said. Around 4:30 a.m. on Feb. 27, Prince George's County Police Department responded to a fatal collision on Indian Head Highway approaching the Capital Beltway overpass. A collision and reconstruction crew was called to help with the investigation. Preliminarily, the investigation revealed that one of the drivers was driving on the wrong side of the road. It's unknown how many people were in the car or how many died after the collision. DC News Now has reached out for more information. Indian Head Highway is known as one of the most dangerous highways in the DMV area. The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Prince George's County saw another crash on Friday morning, around 45 minutes later on Laurel-Bowie Road.
