Driver plunges into dry retention pond behind Simpsonville school; one dead
One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a vehicle crashed into a dry retention pond behind a school in Simpsonville, South Carolina, on Tuesday afternoon. The Greenville County Coroner's Office said the crash happened in the area of 1830 West Georgia Road, behind Brashier Middle College.According to the coroner, a driver drove off an embankment in the school's parking lot and into a retention pond without any water in it. Two people were inside the vehicle.The victim's name has not been identified.
