Driver killed, passenger injured in I-40 crash near Alma
CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — One person was killed and another injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday on eastbound Interstate 40 in Crawford County, according to Arkansas State Police. The crash happened around 5 a.m. on April 26 near the 14-mile marker in Alma. A fatal crash report states a 2018 Dodge Charger was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control, left the roadway and struck a guardrail. The driver, 40-year-old Christopher Marshall of Ozark, was killed. A passenger, 39-year-old Faye Ward, also of Ozark, was injured and transported for medical treatment. A responding trooper reported that roads were wet and conditions were cloudy at the time of the crash.
