Driver killed in I-270 crash involving tractor-trailer in Montgomery County
A man was killed in an early Friday morning crash on the northbound Interstate 270 express lanes in Rockville , according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) officials. Crews were dispatched around 7:40 a.m. to the I-270 express lanes between Route 28 and Shady Grove Road after reports of a crash . Officials said they arrived to find a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle. A man was found trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. Officals said he later died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation. As of 8 a.m., the Maryland State Police is closing lanes on the northbound express lanes.
