Driver indicted in fatal Bethany crash, faces multiple charges
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The driver who was involved in a fatal crash on June 15, 2025, in the Town of Bethany has been indicted by the Genesee County Grand Jury. 28-year-old Marquel Kennedy, from California, was indicted for second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was arraigned in Genesee County and is being held in Genesee County Jail on a $10,000 cash bail. According to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash happened on Route 63 in Bethany when an SUV passed two tractor-trailers and a farm tractor. Deputies said the SUV collided head-on with 40-year-old Ryan Farley on his motorcycle, who died at the scene. Kennedy is to reappear in court on June 17, 20266.
