Driver in stable condition after Rialto 210 Freeway crash
The truck driver involved in a dramatic crash on the 210 Freeway in the Inland Empire is currently in critical but stable condition, according to authorities. The driver, identified as 36-year-old Edgar Gonzalez from Compton, was the sole occupant of the white pickup truck when it veered off an offramp and onto the eastbound lanes near the Ayala Drive exit on Friday evening. The extent of his injuries is still unknown. The incident, captured in dramatic dashcam footage, occurred during rush hour on a busy section of the freeway and is currently under investigation. Witness Vanessa Alveal described the shock of seeing the truck fly from a bridge, causing her to brake suddenly as it landed on top of an SUV in front of her. Fortunately, no fatalities have been reported, although the status of the SUV occupants is unclear. Another individual involved in the crash, 51-year-old Glendora resident Jeffrey Elhami, is also reported to be in stable condition. Further details are awaited.
