Driver flees burning car in Wichita Falls accident

Emergency personnel in Wichita Falls responded to a collision at Maurine and Central Freeway around 12:20 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, responders found a vehicle ablaze in the median after reportedly veering off Central Freeway and striking trees. A Wichita Falls police officer mentioned that one individual sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital via ambulance. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
