Driver evades traffic stop, hits and kills another driver
The Greenville County coroner's office says one person is dead after deputies say a driver tried to evade a traffic stop and crashed into another vehicle.We are told a Greenville County sheriff's deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Lily Street around 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Instead of pulling over, deputies say the driver drove off and collided with another car.We are told the suspect was arrested and charged. The other vehicle's driver was taken to a hospital, where the coroner's office confirmed he was pronounced dead.The coroner's office will release more information after families are notified. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office and the Greenville County coroner's office are investigating.
