Driver dies in crash after hitting tree in Wayne Co.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – State Police in Williamson are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident that took place Friday evening on Hamilton Street near Lake Avenue. State troopers say a 29-year-old man crashed his pickup truck when he lost control while negotiating a curve. The truck left the roadway and struck a tree head-on shortly before 7 p.m. Emergency personnel pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. The Wayne County Coroner responded to the scene and requested the driver be taken to Geneva General Hospital. An autopsy is pending. The investigation remains ongoing.
