Driver dead after rear-ending vehicle on Detroit's west side
One man is dead after an early morning crash that happened on Detroit's west side.Watch Brittany Toolis' video report belowThe crash shut down the intersection at 7 Mile and the Southfield Freeway Service Drive. We're told it happened around 2:20 a.m.A spokesperson for the Detroit Police Department says that an unknown man rear-ended another vehicle, passing away in the accident. We're told that the man who got rear-ended was unharmed.We heard from a gas station employee who heard and saw everything happen."At 2:20, I had a customer in here asking me for a receipt for the gas, and I heard a big (boom). I checked the camera and saw a car on the other side," said Mofeed Fethel. "I took the phone and called the police...I heard a big one, it sounded like a big boom."DPD is still investigating the crash.
