Driver charged in fatal crash near 50th and Custer in Milwaukee.
Quinten Austin, a 48-year-old man from Milwaukee, has been charged for his role in a crash that resulted in the death of one woman and injury to another. The incident, which took place in front of McGovern Park, involved a Toyota Camry and another vehicle driven by Austin. The crash led to one fatality, identified as Pashoua Lor, and injuries to the second person in the Camry. Austin claimed he tried to stop his car as the Camry approached him, but his vehicle slid and collided with the Camry. However, video surveillance of the incident contradicted Austin's account, showing his vehicle speeding and failing to stop at a stop sign before crashing into the Camry. Data retrieved from the Airbag Control Module revealed that Austin's vehicle was significantly exceeding the speed limit at the time of the crash. Austin appeared in Milwaukee County Court on December 22, where a $100,000 cash bond was set. He is scheduled for a bail/bond hearing on January 2, 2026.
