Driver accused of causing deadly Austin accident while intoxicated
A man has been taken into custody following a tragic accident that took place over the weekend in Austin. The Austin Police Department reported that Jordan M. Atkins, 32 years old, has been arrested and is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter in connection to the incident. The accident occurred early Saturday morning on East U.S. Highway 290 involving an SUV and a tow truck. While both drivers remained on site, a woman traveling with Atkins tragically lost her life.
