Double Fatal Rollover Crash 405 Freeway, La Tijera Boulevard

WESTCHESTER, Calif. (Feb. 11, 2026) -- Two people lost their lives early Wednesday morning in a tragic rollover crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway near Westchester. The single-vehicle collision was reported on Feb. 11th around 2:03 a.m. on the southbound lanes near La Tijera Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Fire crews arrived to find the vehicle overturned and the occupants critically injured. Despite emergency responders’ efforts, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities had not yet released their identities, pending notification of next of kin. The crash prompted the temporary closure of the freeway while investigators worked to determine what led to the deadly incident. An investigation into the cause remains ongoing.
