Deadly Poweshiek County crash caused by slippery roads
Icy roads in Poweshiek County, Iowa led to a tragic accident on Monday morning. Authorities responded to a crash on Iowa Highway 85 near Deep River around 7:05 a.m. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a Ford Escape lost control on the icy road and rolled multiple times. The driver, Kara A. Westphal, 45, sadly passed away from her injuries at the scene.
