Deadly crash shuts down section of Lakewood Avenue in Southwest Atlanta
Atlanta police reported a deadly two-vehicle crash causing a temporary closure of Lakewood Avenue on Tuesday evening. The collision occurred close to the 2000 block of Lakewood Avenue SW, leading to one fatality at the scene and two others in critical condition at a local hospital. Surrounding roads are blocked off as crews work to clear the area, with traffic delays seen on westbound lanes at Lakewood Terrace SE.
