Deadly crash shuts down I-75 southbound in Wildwood at SR-44
A deadly crash has shut down all of the southbound lanes on I-75 in Sumter County.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. Monday night after the interchange to Florida's Turnpike.As of 5:30 Tuesday morning, all of the lanes are still shut down.FHP is detouring drivers off I-75 southbound at SR-44.From there, drivers can travel from SR-44 to US-301, then back to I-75, or get onto Florida's Turnpike.Troopers have confirmed the crash is deadly.Prior to the deadly crash, there was a crash in the same area an hour before at 10:30 p.m.Troopers are working to clear that crash as well.This is a developing story.
