Deadly crash closes westbound I-40 west of Albuquerque
Westbound I-40 west of Albuquerque is closed as authorities investigate a deadly crash.The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 4:30 a.m. Monday at mile marker 144. That's between the Atrisco Vista Boulevard and Rio Puerco exits.BCSO says multiple vehicles were on fire.They also say at least one person died in the crash.Westbound I-40 will be closed in the area for an extended period of time.Drivers on westbound I-40 are being directed off the interstate at the Atrisco Vista exit and onto the frontage road.
