Deadly crash closes I-55 southbound at S. Parkway: Memphis Police
Earlier this week, a tragic accident occurred on Interstate 55 in Memphis, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries. According to Memphis Police, the incident involved five vehicles near South Parkway. Two individuals were tragically pronounced dead at the scene, while others sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital. Authorities have launched an investigation into the crash, causing road diversions onto McLemore Avenue. As a result, traffic congestion has extended to the I-55 bridge into Arkansas, as captured by TDOT cameras.
