Deadly crash blocks all lanes of 10 Freeway in Ontario
A fatal crash caused all lanes of the 10 Freeway in Ontario to be blocked overnight. Information surrounding the collision was scarce at first. The California Highway Patrol’s incident log indicates it was first reported at 11:57 p.m. Sunday on the westbound span of the 10 near 4th Street. Preliminary details from the scene indicated that at least two people were killed. No information surrounding their identities was available, and it was not known right away whether any other people were injured. Video obtained by KTLA shows multiple vehicles were involved, including at least one that was left virtually unrecognizable as a result of the force of the collision. All lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway in the area were blocked for at least four hours. Footage from a nearby Caltrans camera showed that at least one lane had been reopened by 4:30 a.m. Monday. There was no word on what caused the crash or whether speed or impairment were factors. KTLA has reached out to law enforcement for more information on the incident.
