Deadly Collision on San Felipe Road by SR-78 in San Diego County
In a tragic incident that occurred on Sunday afternoon, a fatal fiery two-vehicle crash led to the closure of San Felipe Road in both directions near a sheriff’s substation for several hours. The collision happened around 3:08 p.m. in the 25700 block of San Felipe Road, with witnesses reporting an overturned vehicle and another engulfed in flames. Emergency responders worked to put out the fire and help the victims, resulting in the closure of lanes at Scissors Crossing. Sadly, one person lost their life in the crash, and the road remained closed for investigation and cleanup. The road was reopened Tuesday night after the scene was cleared.
