Deadly car accident on Highway 23 in Burke County
A fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 23 and Ben Hatcher Road in Burke County. The authorities were alerted to the crash around 5:20 A.M. on Monday. Initial reports suggest that a car heading west on Ben Hatcher Road did not stop at a stop sign and crashed into a tractor-trailer traveling south on Highway 23. Unfortunately, the driver of the car died due to the impact. The incident is currently being investigated by the Burke County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division.
