Deadly accident claims woman's life due to icy road
A tragic incident occurred on Sunday morning in Nicholson Township, Wyoming County, resulting in the death of Victoria Njeri, a 34-year-old woman from Tunkhannock. According to State Police, the fatal accident took place on icy roads along State Route 11. Emergency responders, including State Police Tunkhannock, Kunkle EMS, and Nicholson Fire Company, arrived at the scene around 7:45 a.m. The initial police report revealed that Njeri's vehicle was struck by another car that had lost control while traveling south on State Route 11. Victoria Njeri was declared dead at the scene, while the driver of the first vehicle is believed to have suffered minor injuries.
