The incident, where the man was driving a northbound Audi Q5 and rear-ended a Ford Expedition around 2:15 a.m., is under investigation by the Huntington Beach Police Department. The Audi driver sustained serious injuries and unfortunately passed away at the scene of the crash. The 44-year-old Sunnyvale man driving the Ford survived with minor injuries and is cooperating with authorities. The name of the deceased has not been made public.
