Crash shuts down SR 14 near Camas, detours via Exit 12 and delays expected

A collision shut down a stretch of state Highway 14 near Camas on Sunday afternoon, forcing drivers to detour and causing delays with no immediate estimate for when the road would reopen. The Washington State Department of Transportation said SR 14 was fully blocked at the West Camas Slough Bridge at milepost 12.6. The crash was announced by the department at 3:42 p.m. June 21. WSDOT initially reported the collision was blocking eastbound SR 14 at milepost 12.6 near Camas Slough, then later updated that the crash was fully blocking SR 14 in both directions at the same location “until further notice.” Traffic is being detoured off SR 14 at Exit 12 into Camas. WSDOT urged travelers to expect delays, avoid the area and use caution. No estimated time for reopening was available.
