Crash in Omaha causes injuries, shuts down section of Interstate 480
Officers from the Omaha Police Department are currently attending to a collision on the interstate near Leavenworth Street. Lanes on Interstate 480 have been closed, and traffic is being redirected to Martha Street. The incident, involving a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Camry, occurred around 8:45 p.m. The Camry overturned, and the male driver was initially trapped but has since been rescued and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Both occupants of the Corolla, a man and a woman, sustained serious injuries and have also been hospitalized.
