Crash in Galt leaves one man dead, another injured, CHP says
One man is dead and another seriously injured after a solo vehicle crash on State Route 99 in Galt, the California Highway Patrol reported. CHP's South Sacramento division responded to a call at Pringle Avenue for the collision of a black Honda Civic with a guardrail around 2:44 a.m on Saturday. CHP said the driver left the roadway for an unknown reason, moved up the embankment, struck the guardrail and overturned. According to CHP, a male passenger was pronounced dead on scene. The driver sustained major injuries and was transported to the hospital. Alcohol was a factor in the fatal crash, CHP said.
