Crash, fire knocks out power in Horseshoe Bend; Highway 55 down to one lane
A crash that knocked out power to the entire town has reduced Highway 55 to a single lane at School Road in Horseshoe Bend. A car hit a power pole, caught fire, and caused the townwide outage at around 4:40 pm on Saturday. Traffic was being diverted onto Old Emmett Road and back to Boise Street as emergency crews work in the area. Crews were able to restore power to the town by 5:40 pm.
